Airserver licenses for CUSD

As more iOS devices are being used in the classroom for student projects and teachers are using them to present content, the need to display the iPad screen on a projector has increased.  Thus, the district has purchased a district license for Airserver for all Apple computers.  Airserver is a nice replacement for an Apple TV in areas where a laptop is connected to a Display.

Airserver allows a iPad screen to be displayed on a laptop wirelessly which can the be projected on a screen for the entire class to see.

The software can be downloaded from: http://www.airserver.com/Download/Mac
Site Technology Specialists at each site have the activation code to use to install the software.

A couple of install suggestions:

  • Turn off Launch at Start-up unless you use this every day
  • Turn on a password or on-screen passcode to protect your laptop
